The exterior of Fairwinds really tells the best before and after story of the whole renovation. Perhaps I find it most extraordinary because somehow Gary managed to convince me to buy the place despite this "ugly mug".
Step one: Replace rotted east wall.
Step two: Replace existing siding with hardiplank, so we would not have a repeat rot problem!
Step three: Seal and treat batter cement blocks on the bottom of the cabin.
Step four: Paint, paint, paint -- doors, trim and siding!!
Step five: Admire what you have done!
